I was surprised by my grade, but not upset. Perhaps with this positive assessment, I will be allowed to move on to more challenging work than setting up the conference rooms for meetings, fetching tea and setting up for lectures.

I received an owl post today from the owner of Gallery11 on Diagon Alley. They are having a young artists show the first weekend in June, and have offered to exhibit five of my photographs for the show. It seems they have seen my work via the journal system and the owner says I have a natural gift.
I am unsure if I want to exhibit my photography.

I know this is from Friday night, but I wanted to post them anyway. The fireworks were very hard to photograph and make aesthetically pleasing. I took 102 pictures of them, and only six came out as pleasing. However, I did learn a great deal about timing and exposure.

I like what Lysander said about it being derived from "painting with light." I think that this picture greatly represents that.
